Off to Israel for the 2010 Excavation

I will be leaving soon to travel throughout Israel, followed by the Khirbet Qeiyafa excavations in the Valley of Elah. I should be able to post often over the next few weeks. Watch for photos and descriptions of biblical places, along with a few other things!

The “Sunset” header above is a photo I took last season from the dig site on a Sunday evening. The wooded hill slightly left of center is the site of Azekah. Beyond is the territory of ancient Philistia, looking in the direction of Gath.
