Florida College Lectureship this week

I just finished my first full day attending the annual Florida College Lectureship in Temple Terrace, Florida, about 1-1/2 miles from my house.

One lecture I attended was an enjoyable presentation on “Evangelism in South America” by Gardner Hall, who works with Spanish-speaking churches in New York City and New Jersey. Gardner showed photos of Christians throughout the South American continent – from Argentina to Colombia to Brazil, and pretty much everything in between. I have traveled to Colombia 14 times plus a couple of visits (long ago) to Venezuela and Ecuador. It was refreshing to see how the Gospel, even when left to itself, works in people’s hearts.

I hope for an opportunity to visit Christians in other South American countries. There are more brethren than I was aware of, and I appreciate Gardner’s work in organizing the presentation.

Gardner’s website with reports and materials is here. For those of you who are capable/courageous enough to do the Spanish, visit his other site here.
