D minus 1

This our last ‘normal’ day for a while.  Tonight we will meet with the Manizales church for two hours.  I have been asked to lead songs for the first hour and someone else (I don’t yet know who) will present a lesson during the second hour.

Here is a glimpse of what we have been doing this week.

Working in our hotel \

Organizing classes, activities, staff, individual schedules, meals, supplies, devotions, et al. for 250 people over a full week requires hundreds of man-hours.  (Not to mention re-organizing many of these every day to compensate for last-minute changes & cancellations.)  The hotel has been gracious enough to let us set up office in their restaurant as long as we clear out from 12:00 – 2:00 for their lunch business. (It hasn’t been all work. There’s been time to know and enjoy the city, and to relax before our weeklong sleep deprivation.)

We have a staff meeting today at 3:00 p.m. for everyone who is working the Encuentro.  The real fun kicks off tomorrow afternoon at 2:00.  Please pray that the coming week will be spiritually beneficial to everyone who attends, especially to those who need it most.

I probably will not be able to post during the Encuentro next week.  I definitely plan to post next Friday evening when we’re back at our hotel.  Qué Dios los bendiga.

Glad to hear you all are doing well, I wish I could blog for you while you are out for the week. If you get chance to call, I could post info to others so let me know. 334 hits is impressive for just a short while. I will try to pass the word along to all I know. Take care and tell everyone hello for Laura and I.
