DropBox: Free Online Syncing & Backup for your computers

Let me take a moment to mention DropBox, a free little program that syncs files and photos between multiple computers. (PC or Mac)

Download DropBox for free. Move/copy any file into DropBox, and it will automatically copy onto every other computer with your DropBox account. No more using your flash drive to copy files from one computer to another. Just stick them in DropBox and you’re done.

DropBox is online, so any files there are safe if your computer crashes.

Click on this link to get a free account with 2 gigs of space. For any person you invite who installs DropBox, you and that person get another free 1/4 gig of space, up to several more gigs. (Users have an option to purchase even larger quantities of space.)

One more nice feature… You can get a public link for any file in your Dropbox’s Public folder. Email friends links instead of actual photos or files. It’s an easy way to get around space limits on email accounts.

If you’re wondering, this is not a paid advertisement. I just really like the program. When I travel, everything in my DropBox is accessible as long as I have Internet access. That is a good thing.
